However, this fact does not bother many users, since there is no valuable data on their computer itself and a flat rate is available.
The damage is all the worse if you only use a call-by-call tariff and someone surfs the Internet without authorization at your expense. Then the Internet bill skyrockets very significantly.
However, what few people consider, but the most important aspect of a secure network, is: If a stranger surfs the Internet via your access, downloads prohibited or copyrighted data or commits other crimes on the Internet, expensive warnings are often the result.
Such cases usually involve large amounts, in some serious cases even 5 or 6 digits.
In the worst case, imprisonment is possible.
